as I start looking beyond Python for coding, I’m drawn to Rust and Go because of my interest in Web3, but have decided to move on to JavaScript first.
Solidity is an obvious choice for anything on Ethereum and is based on JavaScript, but as permissioned blockchains are becoming increasingly accepted we see more and more use cases, Hyperledger Fabric is something I would like to delve into – particularly their version of smart contracts, or chaincode, which does support node.js
As as a non-developer learning to code, having good resources and an active community is a key factor in choosing a coding language to learn, and I have found quite a number of quality resources on JavaScript/node.js so I think I’m good to go.
I don’t think there is a right or wrong choice here and just going to focus on coding rather than overthinking.
